Volunteer Agreement
Please Read the Following Statements and Sign Below
I volunteer my services to the Stafford County SPCA for on and off-site events, including, but not limited to: adoptions, fundraisers, picnics, meetings, etc. These services are performed by my own free choice. I understand that my realm of volunteering includes activities performed at: 140 Andrew Chapel Rd., Stafford, VA 22554, as well as Stafford SPCA events and activities that take place off the above named property.
I agree to hold the Stafford County SPCA, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, forever harmless for any injury whatsoever that I may suffer as a result of my volunteer activities with the Stafford County SPCA. This includes but is not limited to dog/cat bites, scratches, communicable illnesses or pests contracted from any animal.
I understand that there are some risks of physical injury involved in my volunteer assignment and I will study, understand and avoid any and all dangers involved with animal handling, walking, feeding, etc. I will NOT accept any work assignment I feel I am not qualified or prepared for.
I am aware that as a volunteer for the Stafford County SPCA, I am acting as a representative of the organization and agree to act responsibly at all times by maintaining a professional demeanor and protecting the organization's rescued animals from any harm by practicing common sense while they are in my possession.
I agree that any animal rescued by the Stafford County SPCA is owned solely by and is the property of the Stafford County SPCA, and as a volunteer of this organization, I will not withhold, sell, or give away any animal entrusted to me by the organization.
I will not rescue any animal as a stray or a shelter in the name of the Stafford County SPCA without prior authorization from a director, officer or employee of the organization.
I understand that if I am not allowed to bring a minor with me without prior permission and consent from the Stafford SPCA and have signed a Youth Volunteer Waiver. The Stafford SPCA is NOT responsible for any injuries, damages, or accidents that may occur if I so choose to bring a minor without consent.
I agree to fulfill my volunteer responsibilities to the best of my ability and to abide by the safety and work standards established by Stafford SPCA and supervising staff. I understand that if I do not follow these guidelines my participation in the program may be ended.
I understand that I am going to have fun, work hard, and make a difference! I am ready to learn more about humane education and animal rescue. I understand that pictures of me taken while learning, working, and having a blast may be used in brochures, website, videos, etc.
By signing below, I agree that I have read and understand the above stated information thoroughly. My electronic signature is binding and carries the same weight as my written signature.
